Having Jeff Hamilton as a mentor was a great benefit to me as both a business continuity professional, and working as an independent consultant. From our interactions Jeff showed himself to have incredible business acumen and someone who thrives in digging into challenges, especially when the outcome is in assistance to someone else or a larger group.
The structure BRMA provided through initial questions and meeting guidelines allowed us to focus on specific elements related to goals we had discussed early in the mentoring process. Jeff provided useful feedback which allowed for meaningful changes in numerous areas of my work and are things I will continue to be thankful for having his insights.
One of the most appreciated components of the mentoring program was the openness that was brought to the whole experience. Our conversations were not only focused on my objectives for the program, but Jeff regularly asked for feedback concerning his clients and marketing. It was a mentorship that had a common ground in hopes to improve as professionals – and people – for both of us.
I hope other BRMA members take the opportunity to participate in the mentorship program. Regardless of where someone is in their professional path, there is always a benefit that comes from participating in mentorship.
Thanks BRMA for this opportunity.
Thank you, Jeff Hamilton, for being a great mentor!
