May 28, 2019 Membership Meeting | In-Person | BlackRock: San Francisco

May 28, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm

Reality vs. Theory: Which kind of BIA are you creating?

During this session, Saul Midler will be discussing the difference between BIA Theory and BIA Reality. He will also be discussing how to make BC Plans more elastic, so they can stretch and bend to meet the specific need of the organization at the very time a disrupting event occurs.

BIA Theory returns a rank ordered list of critical business functions by their RTO, based on factors including critical timing and impact significance. However, BIA Reality means focusing on the critical business functions underway during that moment with the disruption occurs.

BC Plans can’t be written in stone, and must be crafted to be adaptable to the actual day and time of a disrupting event. Come learn more about how to make your program more elastic!
