Transforming Business Continuity Management into Resilience

The concept of Business Continuity & Resilience has existed from times memorable. But the term Business Continuity came into the limelight with the World Trade Center attacks in 2001.  It was a ‘wake-up call’ for the organizations.  Despite this, did Business Continuity or Resilience really garner and propagate the terms Business Continuity and Resilience beyond the Corporate World? The answer is both Yes and No.  Yes, because there was surge in the number of people taking up BCM / Resilience roles.  And No, because these terms were never applied on self or taught to others outside the Corporate world.

With the world getting highly volatile and COVID-19 setting the standards high, it is imperative that Resilience should now tap the door of every household, school, college and community. The world has moved from Business Continuity to Resilience.  But have we?
