Traditionally, business continuity / resilience programs focus on loss of facilities, systems, employees, and suppliers. Today, emerging risks and threats must be considered as potential business interruption.
Some risks are universal, and pose a threat to every company, while others are organization specific.
No matter which risks or threats apply to an organization, it is important for resilience programs to plan if the risk becomes reality.
This session will look at global emerging threats that your resilience program may want to consider including climate change, the rise of nationalism and civil unrest, and DEI. We will also discuss a several threats which have transitioned from “emerging” to “common” risks.
We will provide tips for expanding your program’s focus to deal with global and organizational risk and the value of integrating business continuity and crisis management to mitigate disruption impacts.
