The following explains BRMA’s (“we”) policies regarding collection, storage, and use of member (“you” or “your”) information.

Privacy Policy

What Information We Gather About You

In the course of doing BRMA business, we may ask you to voluntarily offer your name, contact information and/or employer name for the purposes of contacting you later.

We collect information (data) about you when you register to become a member. The information we collect includes your name, contact information, industry, and employer name. A third party (PayPal) processes your membership payment. If you have any questions or concerns about PayPal please email membership@brma.com. Please see PayPal’s Privacy Policy for more details.

Note: The BRMA Board of Directors will periodically review what information is collected from members and will remove any that is not required to support BRMA activities.

How We Use Your Data Internally

We use your data internally so that we may conduct BRMA business. In addition, we use externally hosted third party tools to perform other functions that are tied to BRMA business.

Access To Your Data

  • For users that register on our website to become a member, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • All members may access the Member List function in the members-only area of the BRMA website.
  • Access to the complete member information database is restricted to specific Board members, based on their Board function.
  • Board members, Appointees, and Nominating Committee members receive minimal information about you to enable them to conduct the tasks identified above.

External Use

We never provide any information about you to any external entity.

How We Use Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to our website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Social Media Tools We Use

BRMA may use LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. It is your prerogative to join these forums/groups. We have a separate Social Media Usage Policy.
